• 1. How long does it take for my money to get to the destination?

  It’s instant! U-Transfer operates the M System which is an instant system for cash transfers. From the moment you get your reference number, your funds are ready to be picked up. So your money gets there instantly, no hassles and no delays!

• 2. Can you pay into a bank account in the destination country?

  Yes, we can pay into a bank account of any of the bank partners we have (check our distribution list). For instance if you are sending funds to Zimbabwe , you can collect the cash over the counter or have your funds deposited into a CABS bank account. Only if you are sending to Nigeria , we can bank your money into ANY bank account (this takes 4 working days).

• 3. Can I collect in hard currency? (US$ or Pounds)

  No, at the moment all our bank partners pay out in local currency. Check out our rates and you will find out that they are very competitive!

• 4. What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can send?

  For Ghana and Zimbabwe , the minimum amount that can be sent is £20. For Nigeria and The Gambia is £25 (minimums are different because our bank partners have different policies on their transactions). The maximum amount that can be sent is £5,000 subject to compliance procedures.

• 5. Can I pay with my credit or debit card?

  Not at the moment, we will however be able to take credit and debit cards in the near future.

• 6. What are your bank account details?

  If you don’t know our account details, call us and we will let you know how to make payments.

• 7. Will the beneficiary be charged at the destination when collecting the funds?

  NO, there is no charge to the beneficiary and no extra or hidden charge apart from the fees that you pay when you make the deposit.

• 8. What are your opening hours?

  You can contact us from Monday to Saturday from 7 hrs GMT to 11 hrs GMT.

• 9. How much does calling your telephone number cost?

  Calling our helpline costs just 8p per minute when calling from a BT line. Calls from mobile phones might vary in price according to the provider.

• 10. Do I know how much money my relative will receive in the destination country?

  Yes. You will know exactly how much the beneficiary will receive – no surprises!

• 11. What identification does the beneficiary need to present to collect the money?

  Our banks take Passports, Driver’s Licence or National ID. If you think the beneficiary will not have any of these, please tell us when you call and we can sort something out for you.

• 13. Do you operate from USA or other countries apart from the UK?

  U-Transfer is currently not operational in any other country apart from the UK . We will be starting operations out of the US and other countries very soon. Come back to this site regularly to check.
